Occlusive disease of the renal and mesenteric arteries

Stenting of the renal arteries is performed to treat renal artery stenosis (narrowing) which is a cause of hypertension and renal failure. Renal artery stenting is performed under local anaesthetic and is a minimally invasive procedure.

Occasionally narrowing of the arteries to the bowel can lead to abdominal pain and weight loss. Treatment with stenting can lead to resolution of symptoms and provide life saving treatment.
